Why I love being in real estate
Let me start by saying that I spent so many years working in corporations and had my fair share of crazy bosses and too many meetings. At the end of the day, I would ask my self what I accomplished and did I have a good day. More often than not, the answer was "very little" and "NO"! That was a sad reality for many years.
Julio had been doing real estate for several years and I would help him prepare for open houses, deliver flyers, notepad, and etc. The area that I enjoyed the most was helping him stage houses. That's when I fell in love! We both have a keen eye for detail and enjoy creating inviting spaces.
There isn't a better feeling to me to see a home owner almost in tears, because his/her house looks so fantastic! They wonder why they didn't do all this work before they decided to sell their home. When working with buyers, it's seeing the look on their faces when they've found THE ONE! I get just as excited as they do, because it's then our mission to get them what they want.
Real estate is personal! People are investing their hard earned income on a property they will live in with their family for years to come. Being able to have a clear understanding of what it is they are looking for and to be that person they call for any and all questions is so important.
My days are now spent meeting lots of new and interesting people, that I wouldn't otherwise get to meet sitting behind a desk all day. Building long standing relationships with people that I hope to have for years to come. I'm out and about serving my community and volunteer weekly at Adopt & Shop and Meals on Wheels in Culver City. The flexible schedule I have now is something I've never had before and I'm now doing something that I love. Doing what we do isn't for the faint of heart...I learned that in the first month the hard way. Clients are important to us and we are two of the hardest working agents you can find....speaking as the one who is writing this article!
