Show Your Home Some Love This Valentines
Why not show your home how much you appreciate it by sprucing it up a bit? Instead of buying long stem roses, buy a rose bush that will produce beautiful flowers for you all year around. If you are single and ready to mingle, don't feel down about this dreaded holiday, buy yourself something pretty for the house that will make you feel good for months to come.
Tips for DIY projects you can do around the house, even if you're not considering selling anytime soon. So many times, clients get their home ready to sell and wish they had spruced it up for themselves to enjoy long ago. Enjoy your living space and it will enjoy you back!
Tip #1: Replace that awful fluorescent lighting you still have in your kitchen or bathroom. Install canned lighting with dimmers to add ambiance to your life!
Tip #2: Replace all of your kitchen & bathroom cabinet hardware with more current designs. It's amazing what a new handle can do!
Tip #3: Paint the baseboards all throughout the house. Wear and tear and caked on dirt makes this part of your home look dingy. Put a fresh coat of primer and white paint to make that part of your home come alive!
Tip #4: Paint the front door a vibrant color that you've been dreaming about. A nice bold red, yellow, turquoise (all very popular choices right now)! To top it off, add some vibrant colored pots or planters around your front entrance with colorful plants to really make the front of your house pop. While you're at it, go ahead and replace that sun damage welcome mat!
Tip #5: Show some love to your kitchen sink by replacing the faucet with something more modern or go bold and buy a touch less option! One thing that you shouldn't overlook is the grout around your sink. If there are cracks or missing pieces, most likely water is getting into places it shouldn't. Take the time to remove the old grout and replace it. You spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so make it fabulous!
